Dear Sir or Madam,
We are approaching British universities with Gulf Arab student populations, ahead of our recruitment day on May 29. In particular, we’re looking to connect with Omani students who are currently studying at Leeds University.
We’d really appreciate it if you could circulate the following among your Omani students. The day promises to be an excellent chance for these students to get to know our firm and the work we do in Oman and the wider Middle East, as well as offering employability coaching that could be used by the students with other organisations.
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
… تحية طيبة وبعد
You are invited to an exciting recruitment event on Friday, May 29 at our headquarters in Embankment Place, London. PwC are the largest professional services firm in the Middle East and we’re always looking to recruit bright Omani students to work for us in Oman and the Middle East.
At our event on May 29, we plan to start at 10am with our first morning session, and then our second session will begin at 1pm for students travelling to London from further afield; as both sessions will follow the same schedule, you only need to come to one session. Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
What we can offer to you
Our Omani graduate programme is looking to recruit bright, curious and enthusiastic students to join our team in Oman. You’ll be part of our wider Middle East firm, where PwC has been established for 40 years. We employ over 3,500 people, including 169 partners, and have 22 offices across 12 countries: Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian Territories and the United Arab Emirates.
In Oman, you will have the opportunity to work with clients across the public and private sectors, from government to financial services, giving you experience in a wide variety of industries. Your personal and professional network will quickly grow and you will enjoy the mixture of client work and business development opportunities.
We offer world-class training in a variety of disciplines, from accounting qualifications (ACA or ACCA) to management certifications. The Omani graduate programme will give you chance to work in Oman and the Middle East, with the option to join our UK firm in London for a temporary secondment. The secondment will give you the opportunity to develop your global acumen and build contacts across the international PwC network.
Who we are
We are the largest professional services firm in the Middle East. We’re committed to investing in our relationships and making sure that we continue to support our clients that operate in the region. We offer services in Advisory (Management Consulting and Tax), Assurance (Accounting), and Transaction Services (Finance).
PwC have offices in 157 countries around the world, employing over 185,000 people. We have had a vibrant presence in Oman for decades, where we offer a wide range of commercial and financial services in business strategy and operations. We work with clients such as Omani ministries and government-owned entities, semi-government organisations, and international private firms. In other words, we have a fantastic network of staff who add value to our clients in commercial and economic terms.
What this recruitment day will give to you
First and foremost, a day out in London! More importantly, though, the day will be a chance to get to know our firm by meeting our senior staff and interacting with recent graduate employees, including those from the GCC. You will receive some employability coaching – in areas like CV development, assessment centre guidance, and interview techniques – and learn more about the PwC Middle East Business Group that links our UK and Middle Eastern firms.
We propose the following format for the day:
- An introduction to PwC – who we are and what we can offer to you
- The recruitment process – how to join PwC as a member of our Omani firm, with the chance to work in London and the wider Middle East
- Networking with some of our recent graduate joiners, so you can find out what they do and how you could fit into our team
- Employability coaching – CV workshop, assessment centre support, and general application advice
Please ask your university’s Omani students’ representative to liaise with Parul Dattani (email@example.com) byFriday, May 15. We will then work with you to confirm which slot (10am or 1pm) would work best for you and your fellow students. On the day, you might want to bring your CV with you, if you have one. The dress code will be smart casual or business attire, whichever you prefer.
وشكراً جزيلاً على اهتمامكم الكريم بهذه الفرصة
